March Meeting

General Membership Meeting on November 18, 2025.
Our speaker for the November 18, 2025 General Membership Meeting will be Pat Sinclair. Pat will be reading from a book With Love, Jane, by Alma Lutz, published in 1945, which is a collection of letters from gallant women who served our country overseas during World War II. Pat will be reading from a particular letter, from her aunt, Lt. Anna K. Schelper, USANC, sent home to her parents in San Antonio while she was serving in Guam and the Philippines. For her service, her aunt was awarded the Bronze Star. Pat will also be sharing photographs and a framed shadow box showing her aunt's Bronze Star. Please plan to attend and meet Lt. Anna K. Schelper.

As a reminder, LMAR-FW is supporting the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots campaign providing economically disadvantaged children with toys for Christmas. Please consider bringing an unwrapped, new toy, to the November General Membership and/or ROMEO Breakfast Meetings. Marie Jones will collect the toys and deliver them to the drop off center. November is the only month toys can be collected in order for the toys to be delivered to the children before Christmas. Thank you, in advance, for your donations.

November Meeting

At the April meeting, Downtown Ernest Brown brought in a special guest speaker, Mr. Bill Wait, who gave a fascinating presentation on women in aviation. We all learned something new and enjoyed the event.

At our June Meeting:
After surviving the first 100 degree day of 2024 there were 21 individuals (18 men and 3 women) who joined together at Dixie House on South Hulen for the first retiree breakfast of the summer. For those who were fortunate enough to attend the breakfast, the morning greeted us with temperatures in the 70s and wide open roads with school out. We celebrated Jim Sager who has been married for 65 years as of June 20 and Kathy Simpson who made the wise decision to move to Texas 60 years ago. Our next meeting is on Monday, July 29 at 8am at Dixie House on South Hulen in Ft. Worth. Best of all Ed Neel will be back from his European River cruise vacation and will regale all with tales of his adventures. We hope you can make it!
